| International Relations BTA is a member of Telecommunications Regulator's of Southern Africa (TRASA). Other TRASA members are Angolan Institute of Communication (INACOM), Democratic Republic of Congo (Consiller Techinque du Commissions), Lesotho Telecommunications Authority, Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority, Angola,Telecommunications Authority of Mauritius, INCM Mozambique Communications Regulator, Namibian Communication Commission, The Seychelles Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, Independent Communications Authority of South Africa, Ministry of tourism Environment and Communications of Swaziland and Tanzanian Communications Commission. BTA is also a member of International Telecommunications Union(ITU), based in Geneva, Switzerland. The Executive Chairman of BTA, Mr. C.M. Lekaukau chaired a lot of meetings organised around the world by ITU. He is currenly the chairman of the ITU Development Symposium for Regulators and Vice-Chairperson of ITU-D advisory group (TDAG). He is also the chair of the first African Regulators Forum. The Executive Chairman has been a second chairman of TRASA and he is the current Chairman of Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation Council based in London, United Kingdom. Some of the BTA staff also participated in ITU, CTO and TRASA meetings and have been attached and received training tin other regulators like FCC, OFTEL and Australian Communication Authority.
